(Sr.) Scientist Antibody Drug Conjugates

Operating at the Radboud University Medical Center, Tagworks pioneers unique antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), prodrug, and targeted radiotherapeutic approaches through its "Click-to-Release'' platform, rooted in Nobel Prize-winning research. To further strengthen the organization, we are looking for a (Sr.) Scientist Antibody Drug Conjugates.
The position
At Tagworks, the (Sr.) Scientist ADC has extensive knowledge of the ADC field and is a major contributor to the discovery, selection and development of sophisticated and differentiated ADC-based therapeutics. You design, manage and execute discovery research- and pre-clinical development plans. You develop assays and perform biochemical, biological and immunological laboratory experiments to identify novel target-antibody combinations, create and characterize innovative ADCs and evaluate their biological activity in vitro and in vivo. You contribute to research programs using both internal and external (e.g. CRO) resources. Your work directly supports our efforts to achieve new pre-clinical proofs of concept and strengthens our translational research approaches. You regularly report research results to the project team and other stakeholders. By collecting, analyzing and interpreting experimental data you actively contribute to scientific publications, protocols, SOPs, presentations, patent applications, and regulatory- and other documentation that are critical for progressing research programs through Tagworks’ product discovery and development pipeline.
The requirements
We expect our (Sr.) Scientist ADC to bring:
- A MSc degree in Biomedical Science, Immunology, Oncology or Biology and a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline;
- A MSc degree in Biomedical Science, Immunology, Oncology or Biology and a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline;• Extensive (minimum of 5 years) experience in a comparable position in an ADC-focused biotech, biopharma or pharma setting;
- A strong background in ADC design, characterization, evaluation and development;
- State-of-the-art knowledge on antibodies and derivatives, linker-payload and conjugation technologies, and functional assays (e.g. binding, internalization, cytotoxicity, MoA);
- Relevant experience with in vivo research; • Preferably experience in working with external parties, such as CROs or contract labs;
- A “hands-on” and “roll up your sleeves” mentality and the ability to deliver on projects as needed in a small biotech environment;
- Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
You are a team player who can collaborate successfully with multiple key stakeholders. You have strong verbal and written communication skills. You are a highly motivated, resourceful individual who can set goals, prioritize, work independently and work effectively within project teams. Finally, you have good organizational skills and attention to detail.
